Adam’s focus into fitness began in his teens when he took full advantage of high school athletics and played both basketball and football. After graduation he played 1 year at Bristol Community College before having to have kidney surgery the following year. The recovery was long but it allowed him to coach youth basketball which he continued doing for the next 3 years. After basketball stopped being as interesting to Adam, he needed to find something else to keep him active. That is where his love for working out was born. He enjoyed the constant challenge that working out posed when he pushed himself.
It was through a workout magazine that Adam then found his next interest which was obstacle racing. Besides completing 20 + obstacle course races since he started in 2000 Adam is also a coach through one of the major race companies “Spartan Race”.
