BA in Human Resource Management from UMass Dartmouth
Andrea had no choice but to be active at a young age, growing up with three older brothers. From backyard sports, to trying to break her brother’s high school track records. They always gave her something to look up to and work towards. “I owe a lot of my strong feminist ways to them.”
Andrea didn’t continue sports through college but she did find a passion with kickboxing and strength training in the gym. She became in love with the empowering feeling of building muscle and simply being strong! “I wanted everyone to feel the way I felt. So I started bringing friends with me to the gym and puting them through my workouts. I had no clue what I was doing back then but I loved the sense of leadership, and knowing that I was someone’s motivation to live healthier!”
Shortly after graduating college and struggling to find a job she loved in her degree as most young adults do, Andrea started soul searching. “I was asked the infamous question by my older brother ‘If you could do anything at all, what would it be?'” It didn’t take much thought to know that it was something surrounding fitness/wellness. That same month in 2014 Andrea started coaching beach bootcamp classes on South Shore; which brought on more personal and online clients, and has never turned back.
“I’m so grateful to have found Boutique Fitness and to be able to share my passion along side such strong positive women. THIS is why I got into this industry. To help people feel empowered. To fall in love with the journey, and themselves.”
Andrea’s favorite workout tips
Fitness is not one size fits all. It looks different on everyone. No two journeys are alike, and it is often times more mental than physical. Adapt a healthy lifestyle that is sustainable to you. And don’t forget to love the inside stuff first!
My favorite exercises are anything I can add an absurd amount of weight to! (Squats, Deadlifts, Bench Press) Let that Wonder Woman mentality come out!
