Cait’s history with fitness goes all the way back starting with her dad. He always worked out and ran- it seemed like a right of passage to adulthood. “I’ll do that one day if course”! As a kid, his bench was three milk crates with a folded tarp over it and he had sand filled dumbbells in the basement. He carried an old gallon milk jug with water in it around to drink throughout the day. Cait started with sports as a 4/5 year old; baseball, basketball, soccer, track, tennis (I can’t play tennis)… Although ok at sports, she was never going to be a professional so her personal fitness- running and working out- came more into play when she went to college. Used their gym and ran (outside) when she could. Cait loves working out because it gives her more energy, it’s time for her, a break from whatever else she has going on. “Feeling strong makes me happy… it’s fun, it’s a stress reliever, I like to sweat, I feel accomplished, I can go on and on! I love love love to workout! I owe my father a lot. Growing up with a parent who had a passion for fitness was huge. It never dawned on me that people didn’t take time for themselves, that fitness wasn’t important, and/or that fitness wasn’t part of a daily routine. I’m very lucky.”
Cait’s favorite workout tips
A little goes a long way. Maybe just doing some tabatta body weight exercise on vacation, being mindful, and/or knowing 30 minutes (a BF workout) a day is ENOUGH to make a difference! Being fit is part of living life to the fullest! I love what I do, who I do it with, and who I do it for!
