We/You/I can do hard things

Share on FacebookShare on PinterestShare on Twitter

We prove this to be true everyday. We can do hard things. You can and I can too. In private and in public. We make choices everyday and although many of them come easy and without much thought some others come at greater expense (physically, mentally and emotionally).

We choose to rise up out of bed. We choose to eat the foods that are nutritious and full of life and health to nourish our bodies. Even sometimes choosing to eat ice cream because that is what nourishes our souls. We choose to exercise our bodies through movement and our minds through our research and studies. With books and music and arts.

Each day and all day long we have choices to make. Some of those choices are HARD! Some days, the choice to rise out of bed is hard. Some days, keeping an optimistic attitude is hard, but it’s what we do. It’s how we survive. I just want to remind myself and you, that you got this! You can do hard things! It’s my newest mantra. Repeating this to myself helps me to make the hard choices and to move forward on those decisions.

We do this in the studio regularly and more recently in our very living rooms am I right? We push harder and faster, we lift our knees, press our weights up firm, digging for 30 seconds at a time for an entire 30 minute session. When we feel tired, like we haven’t got much to give and when we feel the weight of the world – we choose to do the hard things. You and I know it’s for our benefit. Accomplishing that session will make us stronger and more vibrant and ready!

Life is hard. That’s no surprise but when you find yourself overwhelmed by all the tough times and things and people, please repeat, “I can do hard things”.
