Damien: family 2
Darien is a 17 year old boy in the Transitional Program at New Bedford High School. Student’s mother is very appreciative of any and all assistance he may receive for the holidays. Darien works extremely hard on his life skills in his program, and is one of the leaders in the school’s Unified Sports Basketball team. His teacher describes him as a caring young man who often helps others in his classroom.

Gift ideas: Mother reports Darien has grown so much in the last year and could really use warm clothing items. Darien is very particular about the type of pants he wears and will only wear sweatpants. He loves WWE Wrestling and would like any type of clothing / items wrestling themed. He likes Japanese Anime. Mother sates he really likes fidget toys as they really help when feeling anxious in social settings.

Mariah is a 14-year-old girl. She is described by her mom as energetic, funny, and works hard to assist in caring for her younger siblings when she is working. She is a talented basketball player and has worked hard to be in school every day by taking care of her physical and mental health.

Newborn Girl: Family 6
A mother (student) in our Parenting Teen Program was nominated by her teachers for assistance during the holidays. She is a hard worker in school and is very excited but nervous for the upcoming birth of her daughter due at the end of December. She is in the process of moving into her own place now but does have many needs she could use assistance with for the holidays.
