Squat and Plank

Squat with a Heel Click, a.k.a. ‘the Dorothy’- 30 seconds

Low Plank with Lateral Arm Raise- 30 seconds

repeat 3-5x

 

Squat with a Heel Click, a.k.a. ‘the Dorothy’- Set up in a prisoner position with your hands behind your head.  Sit back into a squat.  Squeeze your glutes and stand up tall.  Perform one butt kick at the top (right heel to tush).  Squat again with a butt kick on the other side. On your third squat, jump up from the bottom and click both heels together in the air.  Land softly and with control.  Repeat.  Find a fluid rhythm with it and have fun!

Low Plank with Lateral Arm Raise- Drop down in to a low plank hold, forearms down.  Maintaining beautiful plank form, lift your right arm out to the side.  Lower with control.  Now repeat on the left.  Keep your core engaged and try not to rock or shift as you lift one arm and then the other for 30 seconds.  Don’t forget to breath!
